Instructions:
Soak the corn husks until soft. This may take up to an hour. Drain them on paper towels. Keep the husks damp with a cloth while working with them. Put 6 corn husks together and tie a string around the middle for a waist. Tie another piece of string about 2" inches below the first for the body. Fold the ends of the husks down from the top and hold them down by tying them in place with another string placed on top of the first string that you tied in the middle. Put two husks together and tie them near the ends for the arms and hands. Roll and slip the arms through the opening in the top of the body by wrapping string around them at the neck.I
f you want a girl corn husk doll, keep the bottom of the dress as it is.
To make the boy doll, divide or cut the husks below the waist. Roll into trouser legs and tie with string at the bottom of each foot. Paint your doll's face or if you wish use fabric and sew or glue clothes on your figure. Add hair by gluing on paper strips or fabric.
